The Thien Family | Conyers Family Photography

I had the opportunity to photograph the Thien Family, which included their two adorable kids! Matt Thien is a musician in Atlanta, and we had a great time with the whole family walking around and taking pictures. We went to the same place that I had gone the day before with Sarah (Monastery), so that's why it looks familiar!

If you want fun family pictures, let me know! We're having a baby in a week though, so I might be a little busy here in a few. I'm sure you'll understand :)

Sarah's Baby Belly

Sarah and I were about 3 weeks away from child #2's due date, and we really wanted to get some belly shots done. We went out to the Conyers Monastery one beautiful Friday evening and found this amazing location! It was exactly what I'd been looking for, a big wheat field. Ok, it was probably actually really tall weeds, but it looked just as cool. The light that afternoon was perfect, during the Golden Hour, and we had a great time getting some cool pictures. Sarah looks gorgeous, don't you think? Here are a few.

Will and Laura Engaged! Atlanta, GA, Piedmont Park

This is my first official blog post. I'll be mostly posting pictures I've taken, and sometimes other random tidbits.

Here's some engagement pictures I shot of one of my best friends Will, and his fiancee Laura. We met at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, and just hung out, walked around, and every one in a while stopped and I took pictures of them making out. Ok maybe not totally that, but they did such a great job! I'm the best man in their wedding this summer, and I'm excited about it!








This last one is great. I never thought Will would marry a non-Auburn fan, but he's found the perfect girl for him! And she's a UGA fan, so it'll bring some interesting moments to their relationship :)

Me

My name is Zach May, and my middle name is Truett. I've recently re-discovered my love for photography, so if you want some quality pictures taken, I can hook you up. I'm in the Atlanta area, living in beautiful Conyers, GA, but I love to travel if you need me to!

My Life

I lived in Paris, France, for 8 years. I still feel a little French at times:) I met Sarah at Auburn on October 20th, 2001. We dated for about a year and a half, got engaged, and then got married in June of 2004. We moved to Georgia for my job, and started a brand new life together. So far, we've found a great church, met some amazing friends, and have had three little blonde boys. We're truly blessed in what we have.

I'm a geek who loves sports. I can't play enough ultimate frisbee. I lead worship at our church, and fix people's computers when they need it.

Ok, Photo Stuff...

I've always been the guy in our group with the camera, bringing it to every get-together, taking the group shots, and making everyone wait while I'm trying to get the perfect light trails. As the story goes, I "made" Sarah hold the umbrella over the camera in the rain on our romantic trip to Paris. Yup.

Since Micah was born, I finally got a Nikon D40 DSLR, and things ramped up from there. I've recently upgraded to a Nikon D90, and it was worth every penny. I like to think it's not necessarily the camera, but the eye behind the shutter that makes a great picture.

I love shooting in natural light, especially around the "golden hour", but recently I've become a strobist, and got some cheap gadgets to play around with off-camera flash.

Hopefully we'll get to know each other better, if we don't already. I'm excited to see where this will take me.
